•  Do your  research ahead before you travel: The thumb rule of safe travel - don’t be ignorant about where you`re going. Take time to learn about the country, the political situation, the cultural norms, the most secure spots for travelers, secure lodges to stay and the regions or areas that should be avoided. Head off on your trip along with your eyes wide open to keep away from surprises. 

• Always agree with your gut: Your sixth sense will never guide your wrong. Listen to your gut feeling when it says to avoid a particular place or you find something peculiar about a person who is making an attempt to talk / looking at you differently.

• Don’t draw attention to yourself : Touring alone isn`t risky, however you are constantly greater vulnerable when you are all by yourself. Try to blend in as tons as you can and follow local customs, that means - dress modestly, behave decently and talk in a polite way.
